• The new Yamaha YZF-R9 has quickly become the Yamaha R-series flagship, designed around lightness, performance and riding pleasure. Following the same philosophy, SC-Project developed a full exhaust system that pushes the R9’s dynamics to the next level.
• This product delivers a weight reduction of over 35% compared to the OEM exhaust, resulting in sharper handling and enhanced agility. Power and torque gains are outstanding with up to +6.5 hp and +4.5 Nm at 9500 rpm, along with a consistent enhancement in power delivery across the low and mid-range.
• The headers are manufactured with AISI 304 Stainless Steel, granting the best resistance and durability while the link pipe is made of extremely lightweight titanium. The SC1-R muffler is SC-Project top-of-the-line: the best materials together with the most advanced production technologies such as handcrafted TIG weldings, the hydroformed asymmetrical outlet and the unique and sporty carbon fibre end cap. The 300 mm silencer’s body is made with high quality carbon fibre and is enriched by an exclusive aluminium riveted plate with 3D-embossed SC-Project logo, identical to those used in our Racing Department components.
• To grant you the opportunity to fully enjoy your Yamaha even during noise restricted trackdays on most of the tracks in the world, the silencer is equipped with a removable baffle; this will give you the choice between 101 dB at 5000 rpm with dB-killer in and a louder 103 dB at 5000 rpm without dB-killer.
• The installation of the kit is 100% plug and play and it’s completely reversible. ECU remapping is recommended to obtain the best performance. To further refine the aesthetics of the R9, the kit includes a specific premium carbon fibre heat shield.
• Together with this kit, the purchase of SC-Project ECR+ (Electronic Catalytic Remover) is strongly recommended. With the removal of the catalytic converter, the bike’s ECU could generate an error. This device has been developed by SC-Project to correctly manage the removal of the catalytic converter. Extremely easy to install, it needs to be connected to the OBD socket and it will automatically manage the error, safely restoring the correct functionality of the on-board electronic system. It features a LED light that indicates the current status of the operation and an OBD cable splitter, that allows you to install it while keeping the OBD connection available for another device.
